ArcGIS Static Maps Service (beta)

Welcome to the ArcGIS Static Maps service BETA. This is a new offering available through the ArcGIS Location Platform Early Adopter Community.

Be among the first to try the ArcGIS Static Maps service! Designed to empower developers, this service makes it easy to create and embed map images from ArcGIS Basemaps into websites or applications. It is perfect for scenarios where interactive maps aren't necessary or practical.

With the Static Maps service, you can display map images on web or mobile devices without requiring a mapping library or API. Static map images look like embedded maps but without any user controls or interactivity. Since they do not need a mapping library or API, they offer you a lightweight solution for presenting location-based information.

The Static Maps service allows you to:

  • Highlight a location in the center of a map
  • Display and label locations on a map
  • Choose from a list of ArcGIS Basemap styles
  • Select the size of map image that meets your requirements
  • Show a route or path on a map with start and end points
  • Support end-users in working with custom symbols for branding efforts
  • Integrate maps for marketing and informational purposes

Join our beta program and help shape the future of this service with your feedback!
